Jacek Wislocki, Tenor
Jacek is acclaimed as a specialist in Medieval, Renaissance and Baroque music, and as a gifted interpreter of the music of the 19th and 20th centuries. Internationally recognised as both a soloist and ensemble singer, Jacek has performed leading roles with numerous companies. He has appeared as a soloist at many interantional festivals and in hundred of concerts throughout Europe, singing Baroque repertoire in particular. He is especially well known for his performances of the Evangelist in Bach’s St. John and St. Matthew Passions.
As a member of the National Chamber Choir of Ireland he has made recordings for RTÉ and the BBC and has toured Brazil, China and Europe.
Recent solo oratorio and orchestral engagements have included, Handel’s Messiah, Bach’s St. John and St. Matthew Passions and Christmas Oratorio; Mozart’s Vespers, Requiem and C-minor Mass; Schutz’s Christmas History, Verdi‘s Requiem, Rachmaninov’s Vespers and Arvo Part’s Stabat Mater at RTÉ Living Music Festival.
