THE SUFFERING OF THE VIRGIN:  29 Feb - 3 March 2012

The IBO, directed by Monica Huggett, presents a very moving programme during Lent 2012, for which we will be joined by two of Ireland's finest singers:  Mary Nelson (soprano) and Stephen Wallace (countertenor).  Programme includes Pergolesi's Stabat Mater and Ferrandini's Il Pianto di Maria.  Bookings now open for LIMERICK, St Mary's Cathedral ( Wed 29 Feb) and  DUBLIN Christ Church Cathedral (Thurs 1 March).Bookings for concerts in Tullamore (Fri 2 March, Charleville Castle) and Waterford (Sat 3 March, Christ Church Cathedral) will open shortly.

ST MATTHEW'S PASSION:  3-6 APRIL 2012

The IBO is thrilled to join Resurgam in presenting Bach's masterpiece in April.  The project is very kindly supported by an Arts Council Project Award and promoted by Resurgam.  Concerts take place in Cavan, Kilkenny and Galway.  Ticket sales are managed by Resurgam and bookings open very shortly so please check back soon!  Visit the Resurgam web site for more info.

8 - 10 Dec 2011: Handel's Messiah (IBO / Jeffrey Skidmore): The IBO's period performances of Handel's masterpiece are always a fantastic occasion and a great start to the festive season! We were delighted to welcome Resurgam Chamber Choir once more this year, with guest director Jeffrey Skidmore at the helm. Our wonderful soloists were Deirdre Moynihan (soprano), Stephen Wallace (countertenor), Eamonn Mulhall (tenor) and Gregory Skidmore (baritone).
