A Duel, A Jewel: IBO/Lars Ulrik Mortensen

A Duel, A Jewel: IBO/Lars Ulrik Mortensen

Programme Notes

Two wonderful concerts in November with outstanding guest director Lars Ulrik Mortensen (hpd)

Firstly, the IBO returns to the Ardee Baroque Festival on Sat 21 Nov with a programme that includes JS Bach’s compelling duel between the harpsichord and orchestra (Brandenburg 5), Bach’s Suite no 3 (including the original version of “Air on a G String”) and a superb Telemann concerto featuring outstanding flautist Lisa Beznosiuk. Simply unmissable.

Secondly, our hour-long afternoon concert in Dublin on Sun 22 Nov in the beautiful Newman University Church (St Stephen’s Green) features solo harpsichord works and a sparkling Corelli violin sonata played by IBO leader Claire Duff. A perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon…

We’re proud to be collaborating with the European Union Baroque Orchestra for this and selected future projects.  For more info on the EUBO Mobile Baroque Academy project, click here
