Happy Early Music Day 2017 from Irish Baroque Orchestra!
Wishing all our followers a very happy European Day of Early Music! To celebrate the event, and J.S. Bach’s birthday, IBO Leader Claire Duff recorded the opening Adagio from Bach’s G minor Sonata. We hope you enjoy this glorious music and thanks to our friends at Royal Irish Academy of Music and National Concert Hall, Dublin, Ireland for their help in making it happen! #earlymusicday
The Irish Baroque Orchestra, directed by Monica Huggett, performs “Ireland’s Golden Age”, a fascinating snapshot of the musical “scene” in Dublin in the 18th century, with works by Pasquali, Dubourg, Handel, Geminiani and more. The performance also features special guest, Siobhan Armstrong (Irish harp).
