ELLEN CRANITCH

Ellen Cranitch is an award winning radio broadcaster with RTE lyricfm, her late night weekend show, Vespertine, reflecting her broad and eclectic musical taste and knowledge. She was a professional flute player for many years, working with NSO, RTECO, Opera Theatre Company, and countless chamber ensembles. She has composed scores for theatre, dance, television and film and her operatic adaptation of James Joyce’s The Dead won a New York Festivals award in 2017. She has served on the boards of RIAM, Music Generation, UnaCorda-The Irish Cuban piano project, and The Galway Jazz Festival.
