The IBO appoints Peter Finnegan as Chairman

The Irish Baroque Orchestra is delighted to announce the appointment of Peter Finnegan as Chairman. Peter is Managing Director of Communiqué International, one of Ireland’s foremost Leadership Communications consultancies. A former Chairman of Music Network, Ireland’s national music touring and development organisation, Peter is also a Director of the board of Fishamble Theatre Company and has been a supporter of the Irish Baroque Orchestra for many years.

Commenting on his appoinment, Peter Finnegan said, "I am delighted to lead the IBO into the next phase of its development and will work with my board colleagues to ensure the orchesta continues to evolve as Ireland's flagship period music ensemble”.

Peter Finnegan succeeds Peter Crooks, who is stepping down due to an increase in commitments, and who will remain on the Board of Directors, having overseen a period of transformational change for the orchestra.
