VACANCIES

We invite applications to work with the orchestra on a rolling basis from musicians who:
- perform to a professional standard on a period instrument used orchestrally (e.g. violin, viola, cello, double bass, viola da gamba, violone, harpsichord, chamber organ, traverso, oboe, bassoon, clarinet, chalumeau, natural trumpet, baroque/classical horn, sackbut). Please note that applicants must have a period-appropriate setup e.g. a modern violin and bow would not fit the criteria.
- are citizens of an EU country or the UK, or have an appropriate permit in place to work in the EU.
- can demonstrate a track record of excellence in period performance, with a good degree of orchestral experience.
Young musicians aged 18-25 are encouraged to explore the opportunities on offer through the Irish Youth Baroque Orchestra and the Apprentice Scheme, information on which will be published in February 2023.
Professional players of a period instrument should send a CV and a link to an audio/video sample of their work to hello@irishbaroqueorchestra.com.
Please note that these submissions are reviewed periodically and, due to the volume of correspondence received we cannot promise to respond to applications individually.
