The IBO Inspires programme champions Baroque music for amateur and pre-professional players. The Baroque Strings classes in Dublin and Cork engage string players working at Grade 6 level or higher.

The Irish Youth Baroque Orchestra and Apprentice programme form a two-part talent pipeline which nurtures the professional musicians of the future.

Baroque Strings Cork

Led by CSM tutors Maria Gaynor (violin/viola) and Aoife Nic Athlaoich (cello), these sessions will provide a valuable insight into the style and technique of period playing. You can expect a fun and supportive environment, and no judgement! Join us!

Baroque Strings Dublin

This new Baroque string group is aimed at amateur and pre-professional string players playing to the equivalent of Grade 6 standard or higher, aged 18 and over.

The Irish Baroque Orchestra Apprentices receive comprehensive professional development training, tailored to their needs.

The award-winning Irish Youth Baroque Orchestra offers intensive and fun experience of period instruments!
