IBO appoints Principal Bassoon

The Irish Baroque Orchestra is delighted to welcome a new member to the orchestra. Following a competitive process Catriona McDermid has been appointed Principal Bassoon of the Irish Baroque Orchestra.

Commenting on her appointment, Catriona says:

"I am so thrilled to be taking up the role of principal bassoon with the Irish Baroque Orchestra. It is such an honour to be welcomed into this wonderful, vibrant ensemble and to join such an inspiring roster of colleagues. I can’t wait for all the music-making to come!"

We are thrilled to welcome Catriona to the IBO Membership. The IBO is continuing to go from strength to strength and we look forward to embracing the opportunities ahead of us as an expanded team!
