The IBO is delighted to announce the support of Smithwick Solicitors in amplifying the reach of its education programme in 2025.
Thanks to generous support from Smithwick's, IBO's lead education facilitator Jenna Raggett will work closely with several IBO Apprentices, developing their skills in devising and delivering engaging workshop content.
This will culminate in two "Magical Melodies" family concerts, to be delivered at the Mayfair Library in Kilkenny on August 14th, as part of the Kilkenny Arts Festival.
Speaking on the partnership Joe Fitzpatrick, Principal at Smithwick's says"Smithwick Solicitors are proud to be associated with Jenna Raggett and members of the Irish Baroque Orchestra in their initiative to promote classical music to young children through Magical Melodies, in a fun and creative way. Â We admire the ingenuity of Jenna and her musicians in removing the mystique from classical music, encouraging creativity and enjoyment in these young people where hopefully their talent will ultimately blossom for all to enjoy.
Aliye Cornish Moore, IBO's CEO says "We are hugely grateful to Smithwick's for investing in this important facet of the IBO's work, which owes so much to Jenna Raggett's skills, talents and enthusiasm. Their support is astonishingly generous, and will enable us to unlock skills and potential in the next generation of professionals. The IBO's profile as an educator has grown significantly in the last couple of years, and this investment will help us to reach even more children with this valuable work."
