The Irish Baroque Orchestra has received a grant of €10,000 from the Ireland Funds’ 2024 Heart of the Community Fund. The grant will support professional education initiatives such as the Keyboard Technician course and our IBO apprentices, community programming, and free ticketing initiatives for our winter concerts.

The Heart of the Community Fund 2024 supports 93 organisations spanning 29 counties across the island of Ireland. These organisations are set to benefit from the Ireland Funds’ $1 million Heart of the Community Fund.

Commenting on the grant, IBO’s Development Officer, Sebastian Grube, says: “We are immensely grateful for the support from The Ireland Funds. We are thrilled to be among the recipients of this year’s Heart of the Community Fund. The grant will go a long way in supporting a number of our initiatives and is an incredible recognition of the importance of the work the IBO is doing in bringing artistically excellent performances to venues across Ireland and abroad while engaging the power of the orchestra as a tool for social change at home.”
